Lazer Tag Team Ops - Gear

Lazer Tag Team Ops is designed by Shoot the Moon Products and manufactured by Hasbro.

Deluxe and HUD
Deluxe

The first Tagger put out for the Lazer Tag Team Ops by Hasbro. This set the new standard for Lazer Tag. It features a "Deluxe" LCD not found in any of the other taggers, able to display lots of data on one screen. It does have the smallest of the receiver domes which some feel make it a little hard to hit.

The Deluxe features Medic Mode, Manual Reload, Dedicated sound on/off and HUD brightness switches. It comes in a 2-Player set as well as a camo design single player set. The Camo Deluxe's have some software fixes and minor hardware changes. They all include 11 programmable games.

HUD

The HUD is an optional accessory that comes with the Deluxe. It provides visual as well as audio feedback when tagged, locked on, or when you hit the other player(s). This can only be used with the Deluxe and is not really useful to those that wear glasses. In the Camo set there are some slight design changes making them more comfortable to wear.

IRT-2X (Drone)
IRT-2X

The IRT-2x or Drone is the second of the LTTO line. This is the cheapest of the available taggers. It has a smaller LCD screen (BLAH!), automatic reload, no Medic Mode, or HUD port. It also supports a cool feature: Dual Mode. This allows you to use two IRTs in a hosted game without having it take up two player IDs. This model also has the larger dome making it easier to target. It includes 4 new games not available to the deluxe.

The initial run of IRTs were produced in the "standard" LTTO colors of Green and Orange. This has been changed to a more favorable Red and Blue (not pictured).

Tag Master Blaster
Tag Master Blaster

The Tag Master Blaster is the third tagger in the line. This tagger is indeed the Master of all. It features a launchable rocket with 20-40 foot range and a blast radius of about 20 feet. The closer you are to where it hits the more tags you will take! It has 11 pre-programmed games and 4 hidden games some of which are not available in the Deluxe or IRT-2X. She lacks Mega Shots, Medic Mode and has the LCD screen that the IRT uses. (Again, BLAH!) The shoulder stock is extendable at 3 different lengths. When tagged, the receivers dome even lights up.

The beam of the Tag Master Blaster is more narrow then its predecessors. So accuracy will be key in owning a game with this tagger. It also has a toggle switch to select your rate of fire. Single-Shot, 3 Burst (IRT-2X) and Automatic (Deluxe).

The best overall feature (aside from the Rocket) is its ability to send text messages to other taggers! It comes with some pre-programmed messages, and you can also create custom messages (up to 10 characters). You also have the ability to give it a name. :D

The picture of the TMB is of the prototype, some design aspects including colors may vary at production time.

Communicators
Communicators

The communicators are a separate accessory for Lazer Tag Team Ops. It provides 3 FM channels to talk on and the mic can clip on to the Deluxe's HUD or just the players ear. The range of the units varies around 200-300ft., but like any FM transmitter, can be affected by local interference.

Accessory Pack #1: The Virtual Scope and Thunder Pack
Accessory Pack 1 - Thunder Pack and Virtual Scope

The virtual scope was mainly designed for the Deluxe to combat it's very abnormal side sight (aka Gansta Shooting). It can be used with any tagger that has the accessory track.

The Thunder Pack (sometimes referred to as the Rumble Pack) is a nice accessory for any console gamer that is used to vibration during game play. It has been reported and confirmed that when the TP is attached to the Deluxe, it may be harder for it to recognize when it is hit thus giving the impression of an elite player. It is not as apparent in the IRT-2X or the Tag Master Blaster.
